the perils of good weather.

I haven't been able to sit down and do any work until the sun sets. Up north as we are in England, sunset has been at like 9:30pm.

Three whole days of warmth and sunshine is too unreal and wonderful.

guys, it's eight o'clock.
it's april.
and it's still bright outside.

this cold.

Being from Florida, I gave no small consideration to how cold it would be in London. I prepared as best I could; I only brought one swimsuit, I limited my sandals to three pairs. I bought a pair of boots.

I am surviving and actually enjoying the challenge of the cold, especially when I can trust on my warm duvet and blankets at night.

monday rainy monday

We don't get a lot of them, but it looks to be officially a rainy day.

{ If I were at home, I would go run around in it.

{ If I were in a reading mood, I'd probably read George Orwell.

{ If I were really motivated, I'd make the craft I've been putting off.

{ If nothing else, I'd say I was practicing for London weather.

As it is, I have packing awaiting me when I get home. Errands to run when I'm able. And some adorable little kids to watch tonight.
